Now that Spring has arrived, it is time to look up and look out. We know that our surroundings can affect how we feel, so it is always worth taking a step back and taking a look at what is around us. And never be afraid to shake it up….

Don’t be afraid

Don’t be afraid of colour and if you are going to use it be brave. Our eyes and minds play tricks. Small swatches of colour viewed against a white wall may look intense but once the whole room is paintedyou will wonder whay you hesitated. I have never had a client who has regretted a bold choice. This media room had a darker green ceiling (only just in shot) which adds deoth and character. So don’t forget about the ‘fifth wall.’

Bring us on board early

Knowing where to look

One important benefit of using an interior designer is that we know where to look. We are not constrained by a tiny list of mainstream suppliers or the safe option. This fabulous piece of Taj Mahal marble was sourced from a long standing supplier and transformed into a bespoke and glamourous bathroom with a stone shower tray and huge slabs on the walls and floor to keep joints to a minimum.
